The PLAYER ES not only is a perfectly build CD player but as well and externally usable D/A converter, providing coaxial S/P-DIF (via cinch) as well as an USB-input. Via these inputs a laptop or a computer may be connected but as well another digital source. Heart of the PLAYER ES is a high end tray loading CD drive mechanism, which has exclusively been designed for audio applications (no adapted PC- or DVD-drive mechanism). It is equipped with a high quality and damped drawer made of aluminium guided with two metal bearings. The used and excellent sounding D/A converter is working with the upsampling principle with 24 bits and 192 kHz
