Heimdal is equipped with a balanced input for the phono cartridge, as almost every cartridge is per definition a balanced design with the tone arm as ground level. Using the balanced input option will further minimize interference from surrounding electrical components and noise. For universal compatibility the phono stage is also equipped with unbalanced inputs.
